Raising Readers

It takes a village to raise a reader.

Raising Readers book clubs help parents develop their child's love of reading - which is directly tied to their love of learning and success in school.

Clubs show parents and caregivers how to read to their child daily. They offer the guidance, resources and tools parents need to build their skills and have an engaging reading session with their child.

Clubs meet through local school districts for six one-hour sessions. During each session, club facilitators model proper reading techniques and ideas for engaging with children. Parents and caregivers also have time to share success stories and challenges. At the end of each session, every parent takes home a quality children's book, so they can practice the tools they just learned and build their at-home library.
