Honoring our 2017 campaign award winners

On Thursday, June 7, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania celebrated our campaign and community accomplishments in Westmoreland, Fayette and Southern Armstrong Counties.

The United Way Campaign Celebration Luncheon and Report to the Community announced the results and impact of our 2017 local campaign and honored the biggest supporters who made this impact possible. Honorees include the following corporate partners and individuals who supported United Way through a workplace fundraising campaign and beyond:

LIVE UNITED AWARD

A special distinction, awarded to a company or organization who has consistently run an outstanding campaign that equally emphasizes fundraising, volunteer service and advocacy; who has incorporated the Live United credo into every aspect of their workplace culture and who has been a longtime, public supporter of United Way.

UNITED IN SERVICE AWARD

Awarded to an individual or group who has a multi-year history of volunteering with United Way, contributed at least 50 hours of volunteer time in the award year, demonstrated excellence in volunteerism with a United Way program or special project and who advocates for volunteerism within the community.

PRESIDENT'S AWARD

Awarded to a company/organization who has run a model workplace campaign, demonstrated continued leadership in its workplace campaign strategies and helped raise awareness and understanding of United Way.

CHAIR OF THE BOARD AWARD

Awarded to an individual(s) who has acted as a United Way champion in the community, helping to raise awareness and increase understanding of our mission and key focus areas, and who has acted as a leader in their workplace's campaign.

COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD

Awarded to a United Way partner whose staff and workplace culture has demonstrated outstanding collaboration and support of United Way, their fellow partners and the greater community.

LEADING THE WAY AWARD

Awarded to an educational institution who has energetically supported United Way through workplace campaign participation and community partnership.

Awarded to companies/organizations with United Way workplace fundraising campaigns totaling over $200,000.
