Faith in Action

What We Do

Faith in Action (FIA) extends the length of time older adults can live safely and securely in their own homes, by matching participants with trained and compassionate volunteers. Volunteers provide a variety of free, non-medical services to participants:

  • appointment escort/transportation
  • minor home repairs
  • errands/shopping
  • home visits
  • home safety checks
  • caregiver relief
  • telephone reassurance

For more than 10 years, Faith in Action has provided over 100,000 hours of volunteer service for almost 2,500 older adults through nearly 1,000 volunteers.
