Our Work: Education
Our education initiatives are all about preparing our community's youth for success in school and life. Our work supports both academic and social development.
Our goal is to invest in programs and policies that enhance early school success and increase graduation rates.
We want to improve the entire primary education experience - from pre-kindergarten through graduation - from cradle to career!
United Way also coordinates internal programs focused on education:
United Way program that ensures quality early learning for children, by coordinating pre-k transition activities and family engagement.
Part of the School Readiness program, this component mobilizes volunteers to screen preschool children for vision disorders at local childcare providers and schools.
United Way program that provides local school districts and guidance counselors with technical support to develop a comprehensive K-12 guidance plan.
