Day of Caring shows the amazing difference one day can make when you volunteer.
It's a single-day service event like no other! Day of Caring brings together teams of volunteers to help non-profit organizations in need across Westmoreland, Fayette and Southern Armstrong Counties.
Our volunteers take to the streets, offices, playgrounds and schools of our community. They dedicate their day to painting, landscaping, cleaning and more.
All to prove the amazing difference one day can make when we work together.
This year's Day of Caring is Friday, September 8.
NEW FOR 2017
We will debut some exciting new changes at this year's Day of Caring. Here are the top 3 things you need to know:
1. THE AFTER PARTY IS OUT - BUT BREAKFAST IS IN!
All Day of Caring participants (volunteers and project hosts) will be invited to a kick-off breakfast on the morning of Day of Caring.
Get fueled up and motivated for a great day of doing good. More details coming soon!
2. STREAMLINED REGISTRATION
We've updated the registration process for project hosts and volunteer teams.
Plus, we've added new tools to make volunteer organization easier for team leaders.
3. SIMPLIFIED SHIRTS
Our partners at Staples are helping us simply Day of Caring shirt orders!
Shirt orders will be collected by Staples July 24 - August 7.
Orders will be processed by Staples and delivered directly to the company or organization who placed the order.
The order deadline is final.
United Way will not have shirts available at our offices. Day of Caring participants will be sent additional details upon registration.
