Day of Caring

Thank you for an amazing day of service!

On Friday, September 9, hundreds of volunteers and community partners across Westmoreland, Fayette and Southern Armstrong Counties joined forces to help improve communities all across our region.

Highlights from the day:

  • Over 650 volunteers on 40 different teams
  • 60 service projects hosted by 40 different community organizations and agencies
  • The largest volunteer team from West Penn Power was 130 members strong
  • Volunteers donated about 3,250 hours of work to organizations, valued at nearly $75,000! (According to the Independent Sector's Value of Volunteer Time)
