Basic Needs & Financial Stability is working to help families in need and create paths to family financial stability.
Southwest PA 2-1-1 serves Westmoreland, Fayette, and Allegheny Counties. By dialing 2-1-1, callers will be connected with a human service information and referral specialist to help assess the human service programs that best fit the needs of the individual and/or family seeking help.
United Way recently launched Mothers Making More (M3), an initiative to help serve single mothers with children under the age of 18 to earn family sustaining incomes. Partnerships have been created with Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board, Westmoreland County Community College, Seton Hill University, Westmoreland Community Action and Excela Health.
These efforts address the critical needs around Building Strong Neighborhoods and Communities.
