Help starts here, with just one call.
Finding your closest food pantry or pre-k program shouldn't require a maze of phone calls. Getting help paying a utility bill shouldn't be a complex quest. When you need it, finding help should be quick, easy and stress free. 2-1-1 makes that happen.
2-1-1 is a free 3-digit phone number that connects people with community, health and disaster services. The 2-1-1 call center, text and chat services are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Dialing 2-1-1 connects people in need with an information and referral specialist who can help. This specialist assesses needs and connects the caller to a human service program.
2-1-1 helps with:
- Assistance paying utility bills
- Information about free tax preparation
- Food pantry locations
- Rent assistance
- Caring for ailing parents
- Much more
